PET Radiopharmaceuticals
¹⁸F-FDG Injection (Fluorodeoxyglucose)
A PET radiopharmaceutical used for diagnostic imaging in oncology (detection, staging, and monitoring of cancers), cardiology (myocardial viability assessment), and neurology (evaluation of brain metabolism in epilepsy, dementia, and neurodegenerative disorders). It reflects cellular glucose metabolism, highlighting metabolically active tissues.
| Adult | ~5 – 15 mCi per patient (≈185 – 555 MBq) |
|---|---|
| Pediatric | ~0.10 – 0.14 mCi/kg, adjusted by body weight and protocol |
| Bulk Supply | Multi-dose vials typically 50 – 300+ mCi, calibrated to reference time |
Supplied in sterile, pyrogen-free glass vials or pre-filled syringes with lead/tungsten shielding, packed in certified transport containers. Labeling includes activity, calibration time, batch number, expiry, and radiation warnings, in compliance with transport regulations.
Due to the ~110-minute half-life of Fluorine-18, shelf life is typically 10–12 hours from end of synthesis. Product must be used within the labeled expiry time under controlled, shielded conditions.
Nationwide delivery across major PET/CT centers, including Klang Valley, Penang, Johor Bahru, and other regions. Outstation delivery is supported via dedicated logistics and air transport, aligned with patient schedules.
Orders are placed via email, phone, or system with details on patient volume, required activity, calibration time, and delivery location. Orders are confirmed based on production capacity, followed by QA release, dispatch in shielded containers, and real-time delivery coordination with receipt verification at site.
Future pipeline products
Iodine-131 Capsule
A ready-to-use oral radiopharmaceutical used primarily for thyroid diagnostics and therapy, including hyperthyroidism treatment and thyroid cancer ablation. Supplied in calibrated capsule form for accurate dosing, with lead shielding for safe transport. Available in patient-specific activity ranges, with shelf life dependent on decay and controlled storage conditions.
Iodine-131 Solution
An oral liquid radiopharmaceutical used for similar thyroid applications, including diagnostic uptake studies and therapeutic treatment. The solution allows flexible dosing adjustments and is supplied in shielded vials. Prepared under strict quality controls and calibrated to reference time for accurate administration.
Gallium Generator (⁶⁸Ge/⁶⁸Ga Generator)
A long-lived generator system used to produce Gallium-68 on-site for PET imaging. It enables elution of ⁶⁸Ga for radiolabeling of diagnostic tracers used in oncology (e.g., neuroendocrine tumors, prostate imaging). Designed for repeated use over its validated lifespan, with elution performed under controlled radiopharmacy conditions.
Lutetium-177 (Lu-177)
A therapeutic radiopharmaceutical isotope used in targeted radionuclide therapy, particularly for neuroendocrine tumors and prostate cancer when labeled with specific ligands. It emits beta radiation for treatment and gamma radiation for imaging/monitoring. Supplied in shielded vials with calibrated activity, supporting precision oncology applications.
